Rewriting History

If I could rewrite Canadian history then I would rewrite it so the settlers would not hate the Natives and try to change them. Firstly, if there was no hatred and they didn’t want to change them the residential schools wouldn’t of happened and none of the abuse and mental torture would of happend to those kids. Secondly, the First Nations would have kept their land the way they wanted without the settlers digging and destroying it to find resources just to be rich. And thirdly, if the settlers would have accepted them for who they were, maybe we would see more of them around proud and strong to be a First Nations instead of isolated and trying to keep their culture alive.
