STUDENTS AS RESEARCHERS (StAR)

From Monday, October 17, to Wednesday, October 19, Genevieve, Brooklyn, Hannah, Mrs.Vodarek, and I attended StAR (Students As Researchers), which was being held at OELC.

During the program, we learned many different things, such as the importance of ethics when conducting research, as well as the many different ways to collect information (photovoice, quantitative, qualitative, etc).

Throughout our stay, we as a school decided on a topic of research that would help make our school a better place. Amongst our group, we decided on the topic of equity and inclusion within our school. By the end of the school year, we hope to address this topic and make our school a better and more inviting environment for all students.
