Class Government
In our class we have established class government- modeled after our own Canadian Government. See the profiles of of key Cabinet Ministers, as well as portfolios held by other students. Using the democratic process we strive to be fair, fun and all-round fantastic.
Prime Minister
Genevieve was elected by her classmates to the position of Prime Minister. She meets with her Ministers and passes legislation tabled at our class cabinet meetings.
Attorney General
(Minister of Justice)
Carley oversees the Department of Justice, and co-chairs cabinet meetings with the PM. The other members of the Department of Justice are Baylee and Brooklyn.
Minister of Innovation
Hannah and Grace are Co-Ministers, responsible for bringing ideas for fun, interactive activities and events into our classroom.
Together they want their Grade 8 year to be mind-blowing!
Minister of Sport & Minister of Health
Tyler is Minister of Sport and Riley is Minister of Health - together they plan movement activities to be done during DPA time, and the occasional phys. ed session. They want everyone to move and be healthy!
Minister of Employment, Workforce and Labour
Mattea oversees a variety of job posts in the classroom - including distribution of materials, management of resources, recycling and general tidiness. Her team includes:
Haylie, Colin, Brendan, Olivia, Duncan, Alex, and Gabe.
Minister of Revenue
Sarah helps to coordinate and oversee fundraising initiatives that will help offset costs of school trips, and extra activities that happen in school.
Minister of Natural Resources
Trent and Jack oversee the acquisition and distribution of tech resources that are used naturally in our classroom environment. Their efforts mean we can continue to have access to tech devices for use in school.
